The company mission is to successfully deliver high quality, cost effective products and services to customers on time, every time.
To fulfill the mission, the policy is to maintain a practical but comprehensive Quality Management System. This will be central to the delivery of our stated commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
Relevant, attainable and current objectives for the QMS will be communicated to staff and progress against them measured and reported.
The policy embraces the following key principles:
- The satisfaction of customers, both external and internal, shall be the primary focus of the quality management system
- All supplies shall be made to ensure complete understanding of customer requirements and consistently accurate and effective product provision
- Major manufacturers are integral to the quality process and company staff shall work closely with them to meet customer’s needs
- Staff shall be encouraged and empowered to participate in quality improvement activities through teamwork and consultation
- All staff shall have individual responsibility for understanding and applying this Quality Policy in the performance of their tasks
- Company management is fully committed to the Quality Policy through provision of resources, active participation in quality improvement activities and leadership by example.
- OCCUPATION HEALTH POLICY
Casadivino Ventures is committed to promoting a health and safe environment and recognizes its obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act R.S.O. 1990.
This will be achieved through:
1. Providing adequate resources to develop and maintain an effective risk management and health and safety management system.
2. Recognizing and accepting as minimum, all responsibilities imposed by relevant statutory requirements.
3. Consulting with employees on health and safety issues through their Health and Safety Representatives and Occupational Health and Safety.
4. Providing the necessary resources to monitor and advise the workers on risk minimization.
5. Development of policies and procedures for specific areas which will support this policy.
6. Ensuring senior officers are aware of their responsibilities within OHS legislation.
7. On-going monitoring and evaluation of OHS performance through Casadivino Ventures
RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety depends on the cooperative effort of everyone concerned but the following special responsibilities apply.
Senior Officers are required to
1. Use the level of sound judgment, prudent decision making in decisions that apply in relation to health and safety.
2. Have an obligation to remain informed of Casadivino Ventures OHS performance and monitoring arrangements.
Managers are responsible and accountable for:
1. Ensuring that activities are resourced to the extent necessary to ensure the health and safety of persons either performing or who are affected by those activities.
2. Implementing safety measures within their control in accordance with legislative requirements, relevant compliance codes and applicable standards.
3. Providing information, instruction, training and supervision to all persons under their control, including contractors and visitors to ensure that any risk is minimized.
4. The formulation, promulgation and review of risk assessments, safety procedures for activities conducted within the area under their control.
5. Consulting on all occupational health and safety issues that occur with health and safety representatives and the Zone Occupational Health and Safety.
6. Prompt notification of incidents or occurrences in accordance with Casadivino Venture procedures.
All employees and sub-contractors of Casadivino Ventures are:
1. Responsible for following safe work practices consistent with the extent of their control or influence over working conditions and methods.
2. Required to co-operate with management in achieving a safe and healthy workplace.
3. Required to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and of anyone who may be affected by their actions or omissions.
4. Encouraged to actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Casadivino Venture E health and safety policies and procedures.
The Occupational Health and Safety Section is responsible for the provision of professional advice and assistance to support the implementation of relevant safety practices and compliance with legislation.
Employees, Contractors and Visitors:
Are required to comply with all reasonable instructions given, consistent with their protection as well as the protection of others while on site.
IMPLEMENTATION
This policy shall be implemented through all senior officers in consultation with workers and reviewed 5 yearly.
SECURITY POLICY
An essential part of the overall company’s management is the management of the life of the company’s personnel, clients, third party, and property/equipment’s of the company, clients or third party.
To ensure effectiveness in this management, the company as a matter of policy, takes responsibility of security of all personnel, client representation and third party in all our sites and premises.
In furtherance of this, the company employs trained security officers. Also the services of licensed and professional security organizations have been secured on retainership to boost the overall company security system.
In addition, the company makes use of local security network from communities where we operate.
We also secure the services of national security agencies, such as mobile police, Air force, Army and Navy at our work sites. They are often invited in crisis situations, when of course it goes out of the management of the Nigeria Police force.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION POLICY
All Casadivino Ventures operations are planned and executed in such manners to minimize any adverse effect or impact on the environment in which we operate. The trust of the planning and execution of jobs by the company are environmental friendly without any burden.
In the course of our operation all wastes generated are collected, handled, treated and disposed in an environmentally sound manner. The discharge into air or water bodies of any form of pollutants is forbidden. All regulation/legislation on environment issue by the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and its appropriate agencies such as Federal Environment Protection Agency (FEPA) are well observed by our company.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT POLICY
Casadivino Ventures has duties concerning the provision and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at work. The purpose of the policy is to ensure that the correct PPE is supplied and the legislative requirements are met. The policy sets down standards applicable to the safe and appropriate use of PPE at work.
Where PPE is necessary, the company must provide it (to comply with the standard identified through the assessment process) without cost to the employee and take steps to ensure the PPE is properly used and used in a safe manner.
Under the general requirements of The Health and Safety at Work, employees cannot be charged or be expected to contribute for the provision or maintenance of PPE which is used only at work.
All PPE purchased and provided must carry the CE mark to signify compliance with current legislation and standards as applicable.
The policy seeks to ensure that the requirements of the Personal Protective Equipment Regulations. The purpose of the policy is to develop a proactive management response where PPE is deemed necessary to protect the health and safety of employees. In addition, the policy establishes and maintains a PPE risk assessment process which is documented as appropriate.
This policy applies to all staff and is relevant to all work activities whether working abroad, on field trips or working within external organizations.
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS POLICY
Casadivino Ventures had continued to identify with the needs and aspirations of the clients and the host communities in the areas of its operation.
The company has consistently maintained cordiality and often liaised with client’s/host communities and relevant government departments to ensure a safe and peaceful working atmosphere.
The company had striven to build sustainable harmonious relationship with client and communities and tried to exhaust every known peaceful strategy to resolve conflict when they seem to arise.
